John Wall’s Room

10.30 pm

We were lead to the front upstairs room, where the old drawbridge gear was housed, and in which John Wall was supposedly born. His remains were never properly buried, instead being scattered throughout the country. His head was buried within the grounds and if ever found would lay his ghost to rest.

Our guide went to great lengths to make sure we did not close the door in this room, as the ghosts were unhappy about this. It has been reported that if the door is closed the spirits within would force it open. We did not close the door during the night.
